If you are in ROME then you have to be a ROMAN.

Ever wondered why there is a phrase such as this..." If you in Rome then you have to be a Roman".
Well yesterday during my assignment @ a church wedding i came across a situation best describes this phrase.
Not the usual run of the mill custom tat i have come across during my assignments, this church last nite requires the church goer to leave their footware outside in the cupboards allocated. I was already forewarned abt this custom.

Do remember ah, i am talking abt a church and not a temple, coz judging by the above pict one would have thought this update is abt a temple..

Anyway back to our story, firstly the wedding mass was delayed by an astonishing 45 mins due to non arrival of Very Very Important ppl and also due the pouring rain. The ceremony takes place as usual, as i was seated at the last row in the church an eldery man walks up to the caretaker of the church grumbling...i was like hmmmm....this elder takes a swipe at the caretaker..presumably even older then the himself..." why can we wear shoes in the church, everyone came to this wedding looking their best, wanting their picture taken.."

I was like....Hellooo....im the photographer here and im not complaining.....well im sure im gonna leave your shoes out most of the time anyway..hehehehe

Ok then we proceed to the wedding reception which was held a place a bit far fro the church, the picture above is how the main seats for the bride and groom..
Sorry lah wedding decoraters and planners...this is a blunt swipe at you...How in the world do you expect us the Wedding photographers to take a good pictures without having those pillars coming in the picture..adoi...
The couple will call the whole wide world to the stage to take family photo and we, the pixman have to do magic to hide the pillars..

All this is ah is what makes our (the pixman) life so damn exciting lah...

LOVE and To Be LOVED

To love is nice..
To be loved is very nice..
To be loved by someone is great..
To be loved by someone you loved is the greatest feeling the heart can ever have....

So philosophical is it? Well, remember when we were kids,,, we all had dream..
I want to be a fireman;
I want to be in the navy ... and so.
Then we go all grow up,  achieving some of the things we ever so wanted in life.
Then its seems that we need love, needed to be loved, to be cuddle, to have all those warmth in the arms of our loved one.
We get married,, soon the baby comes into the picture ..
Then you realise this is when your personal joys takes a backseat. We give our utmost attention and love to our new addition... but then soon you find a big gap in your life. It’s not like nobody loves u but then the same feeling of loved and being loved is slowly walking away.
Loneliness starts to creep in, before matter of time the gap between u and ur loved one seems a mile away.  Not everyone realise that the moment u have an addition to your life, they seem to take the life journey of the young ones more seriously and painstakingly chart the course of their life. Your own individual lives takes a beating and to recharge it is going to take a hell of lot of effort.
Why do people in love and relationship failed to realise that love and being loved is a journey which will take a lot of beating before it finally reaches its destination.

The Wedding

The moment you step walk into a wedding hall, the deco catches your attention 1st, be it good, nice, suttle, low key, simple or even grand......its the deco wat catches your attention. fullstop.

Last weekend i shot photo for a wedding in a comfy small hall....the hall had a main entrance with steps and side ramps on both side of the entrance.

The LEARNED and EXPERIENCED wedding deco planner decided to block the whole front entrance leaving the side ramps for the crowd and also the wedding couple. Being the curious and irritated photographer i was, i went up to the deco guy n told him off in his face...I asked the guy are u the one who did the deco n he said yes...i told him, it was a wrong choice for him to block the main entrance.
Firstly i wont be able to shoot proper arrival photos, also its a bloody waste for you deco to be in the centre of the entrance.

Guess wat he told me....(damn this piss me off to the max) why bother so much the bride and groom are going to come in alone wat....they can use the ramp......

Just imagine my utter disgust for his professionalism.....THE LEARNED AND EXPERIENCED DECORATER couldnt care less abt the THE wedding couple....damn...was i pissed.

The thing was, ppl pay money to make sure that their BEST MOMENTS IN LIFE will be remembered for the rest of their life and here we have an idiot here who couldnt care less and only interested in making money.

Oh ya if u asking where the photo..sorry ya profession rules is not to disregard anyone publicly...coz he would know its me the Photographer who exposed him..hehehehehehe
