Ever wondered why there is a phrase such as this..." If you in Rome then you have to be a Roman".
Well yesterday during my assignment @ a church wedding i came across a situation best describes this phrase.
Not the usual run of the mill custom tat i have come across during my assignments, this church last nite requires the church goer to leave their footware outside in the cupboards allocated. I was already forewarned abt this custom.
Do remember ah, i am talking abt a church and not a temple, coz judging by the above pict one would have thought this update is abt a temple..
Anyway back to our story, firstly the wedding mass was delayed by an astonishing 45 mins due to non arrival of Very Very Important ppl and also due the pouring rain. The ceremony takes place as usual, as i was seated at the last row in the church an eldery man walks up to the caretaker of the church grumbling...i was like hmmmm....this elder takes a swipe at the caretaker..presumably even older then the himself..." why can we wear shoes in the church, everyone came to this wedding looking their best, wanting their picture taken.."
I was like....Hellooo....im the photographer here and im not complaining.....well im sure im gonna leave your shoes out most of the time anyway..hehehehe
Ok then we proceed to the wedding reception which was held a place a bit far fro the church, the picture above is how the main seats for the bride and groom..
Sorry lah wedding decoraters and planners...this is a blunt swipe at you...How in the world do you expect us the Wedding photographers to take a good pictures without having those pillars coming in the picture..adoi...
The couple will call the whole wide world to the stage to take family photo and we, the pixman have to do magic to hide the pillars..
All this is ah is what makes our (the pixman) life so damn exciting lah...
